This 'Movement and Meditation' course will enable you to take some time out to recharge and revitalise as you learn new skills to manage stress, improve your health and enhance your vitality. Meditation is one of the best stress management tools you can have in your ‘kit-bag’! You will experience for yourself many types of meditation and the profound, positive effects this practice has on our holistic wellbeing. One type of meditation, Mindfulness training, brings about greater acceptance, non-judgement, clarity and present moment awareness. You will also be introduced to the powerful effects of mindful movement in the form of Qigong and its healing benefits, as well as experience a deeply relaxing Gong Sound Bath. These practices greatly assist anxiety, depression and insomnia to promote deep relaxation and peace.
What is Meditation
Meditation is becoming increasingly popular in the west now that the positive effects on our holistic health are being scientifically proven. Meditation changes our brain wave patterns, taking us into a state of consciousness conducive to deep relaxation, healing, profound healing & peace .
In recent years mindfulness /meditation training is being embraced by all sectors of the corporate and community arena as a powerful life-skill. Mindfulness is based on focusing the awareness on what is happening in the present moment.

This course has been designed to support children aged 7-10 years to relax and improve their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing in a safe and supportive space.
They will develop greater self-awareness and self-esteem, as well as reduce anxiety, improve confidence and enhance focus.
The life enhancing practices of meditation, mindfulness and relaxation movement will be introduced in a fun and interactive way - combining body awareness, breath focus, visualisation, yoga and qigong exercise.
